Time & Location
30 Jul 2025, 18:30 – 23:59
London, Primrose Hill Rd, London NW1 4NR, UK
About the event
We meet at any time after 18:30. The sun does not set until 20:51 so there will be ample opportunity to view our active Sun through white filtered and Ha solar telescopes, as per our last meeting in June. Even though it's high Summer please remember to bring a coat or jacket as it does become cold where we stand in the middle of a field to the the west of the park.
After sunset we can train our 'scopes and binoculars unto our natural satellite, the Moon, which will five days old, 32% illuminated as a waxing crescent. The Moon will be low in the south-west, just to the right of the bright star Spica and below the star Archturus. It sets at 22:42.
We may be able to glimpse the red planet Mars which will be very low in the west before setting at 22:28. Saturn does rises…
